Madonna with Jesus Surrounded by Children – Eduard Veith – Catholic Art Print Saint Art This antique holy card fromAustrian painter Eduard Veith (1856 1925) made this idyllic, cozy picture of Mary and Jesus with three older children. Mary and Jesus have a spirit of blissful love about them, and the children are drawn to it. This scene is beautiful and gives us a place to put our imaginations. The one girl looks out at us, as if to say, "Don't you wish to be here with us too?" Beauty can draw us towards God, whose nature is love. Veith was the son of an artist.
