Courcheval, French Alps ORIGINAL or PRINT:10"x22" PRINT Weequahic on the southThe French Alps are known for their steep snowy slopes that attract skiers almost year round. Part of Les Trois Vallees, the Courcheval resorts were designed in the mid century and host to numerous global and regional ski contests. This piece was commissioned by a client and the view I referenced for the painting was alluring to us because of the churned up texture visible in all of the rock outcroppings, in beautiful juxtaposition with the soft snow.
