While I general I'm a little wary of mixing +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters (as it can get very confusing what the size of things arethis, by the way, is where the rule about +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters canceling one another out came from), I do like how this card uses both in a contextual way that gives the card a strong flavor

This means that rather than looking at the new set and trying to figure out what card is going to completely upend the format and eventually get banned, we get to go back to the usual practice of trying to pick out the cards that might have an impact on one of Magic 's most powerful formats

It even says Illustrator on it instead of Trainer, which alone makes collectors freak out like characters unlocking a crazy power-up
