If you discard a card while you control Hades, Sorcerer of Eld, abilities that function when a card is discarded (such as madness) still work, even though that card never reaches your graveyard
(Though it's nowhere near as impressive as the $180K+ that a graded version of the 1999 Charizard sells for!) Other cards from the Topsun set sell for anywhere between $20 and $500 on average , although some of the more common cards drop to single digits
(Chuckle as your opponents try to cast Fog in 2019 when you have eight maindeck ways to incidentally counter it.) Bonecrusher Giant, Wild Slash, Lightning Strike, and Wizards Lightning offer a ton of reach for red aggro decks, and allow you to maintain pressure while cheaply removing opponents threats

All told, Death and Taxes, despite being a Prison deck that exists to hold an opponent off of their game plan, also does attempt to end games decisively, so Plague Engineer is a problem
