This card predated the conspire mechanic, and I like to think that it subconsciously nudged the development team (yes, conspire was not created during design but added in during developmentit got swapped out for another "color matters" mechanic that I will use when the time is right) in its direction
Ultimately, Oko's power level has proven higher than is healthy for the current metagame, and higher than intended for future environments, including Theros: Beyond Death and forward

But one big advantage of this being the first Universes Beyond set playable in Standard means theres going to be a higher chance of you being exposed to non- Final Fantasy Magic cards while you learn the game across various formats, or at least, as much exposure as you want there to be
At least neither of these sets are rotating out in April this year - their cards will remain playable until 2027
