As Jake Henderson wrote in December last year, The problem with Standard isnt that its too expensive now compared to previous years or that there are too many problem cards, its that the investment in a Standard deck doesnt have the same longevity it once had. It is certainly an entertaining card and there are some cool interactions that are currently played, such as the Dress Down combo which annuls Deaths Shadows ability and makes him a straight up 13/13

Self-milling Zombie decks will easily find a powerful creature worth bringing back with Animate Dead, though players must be careful to not mill away Animate Dead
